Lianying received a Medical Bachelor's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China. She then went on to receive a PhD in Translational Medical Science from Nagoya City University Graduate School of Medicine in Nagoya, Japan.
Dr. He completed her internship and residency in the Traditional Chinese Medicine department at Beijing Hospital, one of China's highest rated hospitals. While there, she honed her skills under the supervision of some of China's leading experts in acupuncture and herbal medicine.
As a postdoc at the Medical College of Georgia (now Georgia Health Sciences University) in Augusta, GA, Lianying studied the gene expression of inflammatory factors related to hypertension and the immunological response to inflammation in peripheral neuronal injury and regeneration. Dr. He's work has received international attention and has been featured in medical journals and presented at medical conferences for both immunology and neurology.
The training and research in both clinical and basic medicine helped Lianying to further understand the inflammatory response that plays an important role in pain management, neurological recovery, and treating conditions such as arthritis.
Acupuncture and herbal medicine helps restore and maintain the energy force in the body, known as Qi (pronounced "chee"), and balance Yin and Yang. As a result, the anti-inflammatory responses are stimulated and activated to aid in the prevention or cure of disease.
Dr. He is a Licensed Acupuncturist in South Carolina and Georgia. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
